I made my first game. I want you to play it!
For the past few months I’ve been working on a data project with the principal at my brother’s elementary school (he teaches 2nd grade). I started to become a bit uncomfortable with the project, as the data seemed totally empty as a way for evaluating student performance. Then, about three weeks ago, a conflict between her and my brother multiplied my discomfort. Her focus is very much on following the letter of the law, and the public school administration has made it clear that standarized tests and numerical data are the top priority.
With these incidents fresh in my mind, I started working on A Conveyor Belt Education. It’s about my general discomfort toward our current public education system (in the USA), rather than about this specific incident. I don’t want to explain too much, as I hope the game speaks for itself.
